Ile aux Aigrettes, Mahebourg, Mauritius

Ile aux Aigrettes is an islet located in the Mahebourg Bay, about 850 meters off the south-east coast of Mauritius. It is a nature reserve, a fauna and flora sanctuary, as well as a scientific research station. The island has an area of 27 hectares (66.7 acres) and is a popular tourist attraction in Mauritius.
