Ganga Talao, Grand Bassin, Mauritius

Ganga Talao (also known as Grand Bassin) is a crater lake situated in a secluded mountainous region in the south of Mauritius. It is about 1800 feet (550 meters) above sea level and is one of the most sacred places for Hindus (outside of India).
